As of next week, our Reception classes will be using ClassDojo (in line with Years 1 to 6) as a way of rewarding positive behaviours seen in the classroom and around the school.
ClassDojo is an interactive tool where the children are awarded ‘Dojos’ for an array of things. For example, good sitting/looking/listening, being a kind friend, trying their best or being super creative to name just a few.
Each week, our Pupil Leadership Team will give raffle tickets to the two children in each class who have ‘earnt’ the most Dojos. Every half term, a raffle will then be drawn where some children across the school will have a chance of winning a £10 voucher.
As our Reception classes use Tapestry to record all observations and assessments, they will not be using the Class Story or Profile feature as in Years 1 to 6.
We politely request that parents and careers do not use the messaging function either to contact staff as this will not be monitored. Should you need to contact a member of staff, please telephone the school office or e-mail if you require a response.
Your child will bring home a letter this afternoon with an invitation code which will enable you to log in to their ClassDojo account and see the Dojos that they have been awarded in class.
Should you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to get in contact.
