Dear Parents and Carers

Re: Coronavirus (COVID-19)

I am writing to update you on further preventative actions taken today concerning the impact of the coronavirus in the UK. These are:

  • Removing shared fruit from KS1/EYFS

Water fountains remain turned off

  • Cancelling school trips
  • Cancelling cross school staff forums and training

Cancelling non-essential visitors, including music tuition and external clubs from next week

In the event of a possible enforced school closure, or the DfE change their current guidance to schools, our plan is to introduce:

  • Pre-prepared home learning packs available on our school website
  • Communicating additional home learning resources via the school website and Class Dojo
  • Online learning opportunities such as TT Rockstars, BBC Bitesize

In addition to these measures, we will continue to accept donations in the hope that food parcels can be provided for our vulnerable families. If instructed by the Government to close our schools, it is essential that we ensure that all our children will have adequate provisions, during any lockdown period.

We will continue to follow the DfE advice; the latest information regarding self-isolation can be found in the link below.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank parents and staff for their continual support of our actions to date. We will keep you fully informed if the situation changes or the Government issues new advice and guidance. The health and wellbeing of our children, families and staff is of paramount importance.
