I wanted once again to thank you all for the positive feedback and also the positive way you have managed the new systems. The morning drop off is now working very well with only a few reminders now and then about the need to stick to the one way system.
Because this has been going so well we have decided not to stop parents coming on to site, as originally communicated, from Monday 21st September. We will keep this under review, but hope we will continue as we are if all families can support us with our safety measures by adhering to the following;
– Ensuring you stick to and follow the one way systems at all times
– Only one adult per family to accompany the children on site
– Wearing of face masks if you are happy to do so
We still encourage as many families as possible to leave the children at the gates to walk on site independently, as most children are more than able and confident to do this. This again will limit the number of adults on site. We particularly feel all children in years 3 to 6 should be able to walk on site on their own.
There have been some issues with ‘two-way traffic’ on the paths from the back gate, so from Monday there will be a new one ay system from there. We will post a video on ClassDojo to explain this in the next few days.
In addition to this, we are going to reduce the drop off time in the morning over the next few weeks. We would like to ask that all families aim to drop their children off between 8.30 – 9.00 so their children are getting the maximum learning time. From Monday 21st September we will start to close the gates from 9.10am (5 minutes earlier) and we hope to reduce this time further over the next few weeks. From Monday 21st September, all children in all year groups can be dropped from 8.30am.
Thank you for your continued support.
