Dear Parents/Carers

As we look forward to a well earned half term break I am writing to inform you that I will be retiring as Executive Headteacher at Woodcote Primary School at the end of this academic year.  This may not be a big surprise to some of you as this has been something the governors and I have been working towards for the last two years or so with a view to ensuring that the school does not skip a beat when I leave.

Many of you will be aware that Mrs. Baldock and the senior leadership team have increasingly been responsible for the day to day leadership at Woodcote and they will continue to do so from September 2020 onwards.  The Governing Board have taken the decision not to recruit a replacement Headteacher externally as they, and I have every confidence in the team we have at Woodcote.  I am sure they will continue to do a great job.

It has been a privilege to be the first Headteacher of Woodcote Primary School and to be involved in shaping the school into what it is today.  From the outset we set out to build a culture and identity of community at the school and I think there is no greater reflection of our success in this than strolling around the Christmas and Summer Fayres and seeing our families coming together as one.

I will write again towards the end of the year but in the meantime wish you all a great half term break!

Kind regards

Tim Rome
