Votes for schools

This week we discussed the following question in our Votes for Schools Assemblies.

This week’s question was…”Is fake news always bad?”

This week’s presentation can be found on our school website.

Next Week’s question is…”Are disabilities still misunderstood?”

Attached is the parent information letter for this week. Please note we did not discuss “Can sharing stories prevent extremism?/ Do stories teach us how to stay safe?”

Child Safety

Please can we ask that families do not walk through or allow their children to walk through the car park gates due to the movement of vehicles.

Some incredibly talented KS1 and KS2 Woodcote Primary students worked very hard to achieve their Discover ArtsAward qualification with KidsArtRoomTM last academic year. They have all done extremely well and completed amazingly beautiful art books. Well done everybody! KidsArtRoomTM

Chess Teams

The school’s chess teams (we have two now!) both played in the first round of the Champions’ League Chess competition on Saturday.

Team 1 – Rohit, Bella (Captain), Arjun and Jack

Team 2 – Livia (Captain), Kyle, Saamya and Aarnay

Both teams played incredibly, with Team 1 coming third overall and Team 2 18th.  Team 1 has now qualified for the Europa League second round in 2020, where they will play teams from across the country. Well done!
